Zeus Island (Dia Island) – A Legendary Boat Destination Near Goúves, Crete

Known to locals as Dia Island, this stunning and historic island is located just 10–12 kilometres from our base in Goúves — about 25–30 minutes by boat in open sea conditions.
The island’s east side is 6 NM away, while the west side sits 8 NM from shore, making it an ideal destination for a half-day or full-day adventure.

Dia Island stretches 5 km in length and 3 km in width, offering spectacular scenery, crystal-clear waters, and unique wildlife that make it one of the most memorable boat trips in Crete.


Explore Five Stunning Bays on the South Side

The southern coast of Dia Island features five beautiful bays, all protected from waves and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing. Depending on the weather, arrival times may vary slightly, but conditions are usually calm and ideal for exploring.

A full tour of the island — including the south bays and the north-side caves — covers approximately 36–40 kilometres of breathtaking coastline.
