Karteros Bay & Heraklion Airport

We offer our guests a self-drive “playroom” of 26 km (14 nautical miles) from Point 1 to Point 2.
If you choose to explore the entire controlled safe area, you can enjoy up to 52 km (28 nautical miles) of freedom without the need for supervision, and travel up to 5.5 km (3 nautical miles) from the coast for breathtaking views of Crete.
For your safety, all our boats are monitored by GPS tracking.

Located just 10 km (6 NM) from our base — about 30–35 minutes at fast speed or 1 hour at a slower pace — this area offers a truly unique experience.

Here, you will find yourselves right by Heraklion Airport and a beautiful small island next to it.
It’s a fantastic spot for:

• Snorkeling
• Plane spotting
• Relaxing in clear, calm waters

The seabed is full of life, making it an interesting place for underwater exploration. You will also find two great anchoring points — one directly below the airport flight path and one beside the small island.

This naturally protected bay is usually not crowded with boats, making it an excellent and safe destination for first-time captains.
